" Stuttgarter Zeitung Irmgard Vilsmaier demonstrated her class with her debut as Brünnhilde in Götterdämmerung in January 2013 in Stuttgart and prooved that she meets all the expectations as a born high dramatic soprano, which she already showed formerly as Kundry in Tallinn. Opernglas wrote: "Irmgard Vilsmaier was stunning in her part, beguiled immaculate with distinctive depth, but also with expressive heights, intense, musically flawless and dramatically safe in the register changes and with shocking acting." This is a young soprano a with terrific voice and an immense acting talent, who will easily conquer the big high dramatic roles. She sang amongs others at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, at the Vienna State Opera, the Bavarian State Opera, at the festivals in Glyndebourne, Salzburg and Bayreuth, at the Operas Champs Elysees and Bastille Paris, at the Liceu Barcelona, as well as at the Estonian Opera Tallinn, at the State Opera Budapest, the Seattle Opera, the Canadian Opera Company Toronto,at the Semperoper Dresden, the national Theatres of Mannheim and Weimar, at the State Opera Hamburg, at the Concertgebouw Amsterdam, at the opera houses of Antwerp and Gent, the Vienna Volksoper, at the Komischen Oper und der Staatsoper unter den Linden in Berlin, at the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden, the Theater Trier, the Rheinsberg-Festival in Austria und with the Philharmonic Orchestra in Seoul. Follwing her debut with M° Myung-Whun Chung and the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra in August 2012 she was invited by M° Chung to sing the same role with Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra in November 2013. In June she can be heard with all Brünnhilde in the "Ring an einem Abend" at the Volksoper Vienna. This is followed by her appearnce of Leitmetzerin in Rosenkavalier at the Semper Opera in Dresden. Another debut will be Brünnhilde in Die Walküre in July 2013 in Taipeh in a production of Hans-Peter Lehmann. In January 2014 she will besinging her first Elektra at the Leipzig Opera under the baton of Ulf Schirmer. |
