Jukka Rasilainen
The international career of the German-Finnish bass-baritone began in 1991 with the title role of "Der Fliegende Holländer" and led him to the big opera houses such as the Vienna State Opera, Staatsoper Unter den Linden Berlin, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Bayreuth Festival, Bavarian State Opera, Paris Bastille Opera, Covent Garden, Hamburg State Opera, New National Theatre, Tokyo and Dresden Semperoper. A close cooperation with the Semperoper Dresden in 2010 gave him the possibility to work on ten new productions and 19 other repertory productions in 27 roles, including Amfortas, Amonasro, Barak, Count Almaviva, Don Giovanni, Don Pizarro, Escamillo, Figaro, Friedrich von Telramund Jokanaan, Kaspar, Kurwenal, Michele and Scarpia. In 2004, the Saxon Ministry of Science and Art chose Jukka Rasilainen as „Kammersänger“. In 2005 he debuted at the "Bayreuth Festival" in the title role of "The Flying Dutchman" and sang in the following years Amfortas in Schlingensief\\\'s "Parsifal", Kurwenal in Marthaler\\\'s production of "Tristan and Isolde" and Telramund in Neuenfels staging of "Lohengrin," and Hans Sachs in the children\\\'s opera in 2012. He has participated in numerous DVD recordings as Kurwenal (Tristan and Isolde) 2009, Telramund (Lohengrin) 2011und Hans Sachs (Die Meistersinger of Nuremberg / Children\\\'s Opera) 2012 of the Bayreuth Festival, and as a forester ("The Cunning Little Vixen") 2008 of the Opera Bastille Paris. There are also numerous radio broadcasts in which he is heard. Upcoming contracts are taking him to Buenos Aires, Madrid, Los Angeles and Munich.
