Ikumu Mizushima
This young and beautiful Japanese Soprano, who studied at the Munich Opera Studio, captured the hearts of the audience at her first appearance in Zwickau with her clear and beautiful voice, and her sensitive expression. Whether as Gilda, Margarete, Königin der Nacht, Manon or Zerbinetta, the dainty, unique Japanese artist has a voice which you can fall in love with. In Stuttgart in 2001 and 2002, she was the first soprano in Al Gran Sole Carico d`Amore by Luigi Nono. The press and the audience were fascinated by her intense stage presence and above all, her perfectionism and intention, with which she performed this role. In September 2004, Ikumu Mizushima debuted as Musetta in La Bohème at the National Theatre in Tokyo. In Tokyo in May 2005 she gave her debut role as Marzelline in Fidelio also at the New National Theatre in Tokyo.
