Julia Borchert
The German soprano has one of the finest voices of our time. The magazine Opernwelt chose her as the most promising young singer for her interpretation of the role of Sophie in Der Rosenkavalier at the Mannheim National Theater. She is famous for her Mozart interpretations and performs regularly at all important German opera houses. Since 2004 she is singing the 1. Blume and the 1. Knappe in Parsifal at the Bayreuth Festival. In October and November 2007 she was Konstanze in Die Entführung aus dem Serail with the Scottish Opera and could be heared as 1. Blume/Knappe in Parsifal with Daniele Gatti at the Teatro dell` Opera di Roma in January 2008. At the Detmold Theater she did Antonia in Les contes d` Hoffmann. 2008 she was "Voce dal cielo" in Don Carlo at the Teatro alla Scala. In 2011 she performed in Die Räuberbraut with the WDR. In Autumn 2013 she will be singing Woglinde in Rheingold with the Rundfunk Sinfonierorchester Berlin in Bucharest.
